L'invention concerne un matériau implantable dans un tissu vivant, notamment tissu osseux, ayant une vitesse de biodégradation adaptée à la vitesse de régénération du tissu; ce matériau peut comprendre une substance active pour présenter un effet thérapeutique de durée prolongée. Ce matériau comprend (a) un phosphate de calcium, de structure apatitique ou triclinique, contenant des groupements HPO4 et PO4, (b) un oside ou un polyoside biodégradable, en particulier du dextran, (c) le cas échéant, une substance active possédant des groupements amines tels que nétilmicine et/ou gentamicine sous forme d'un sulfate. Le matériau implantable de l'invention peut être fabriqué à froid en compactant ses divers constituants à l'état de poudre.
