19 BIODEGRADABLE POLYAMIDE, FILMS AND PRODUCTS OBTAINED FROM SAID POLYAMIDE AND PROCESS FOR ITS PREPARATION ABSTRACT This invention relates to a biodegradable polyamide. In particular, this invention relates to a polymaide containing keto carbonyl groups set out in monomeric units along the main chain of the polymer and having the structure Image ( I ) wherein n and m are equal or different whole numbers ranging from 8 to 10, preferably 8. Said polyamides are high light-sensitive to the solar U.V. radiation so that the exposure of the products obtained by means or such polyamides to the U.V. solar radiation causes the product to be transformed into a fragile or friable material, that is biodegradable.
