The invention relates to using biologically and pharmacologically highly active peptides for producing therapeutic drugs for treating interstitial lung infections such as idiopathic lung fibrosis, hypersensitive pneumonia or diffused panbronchiolitis. The inventive peptides used for treating said infections contain at least one type of highly conservable specific amino acid sequences which appear to play an important role in pathogenesis of corresponding lung infections. In is proved that known natural peptide VIP (Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide) and PACAP polypeptide (Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Polypeptide) containing said sequences constitute the active substances for inhibiting the maturation of human dendritic cells and can be successfully used for treating said lung infections.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation de peptides à activité biologique et pharmacologique très élevée pour la production de médicaments thérapeutiques servant à traiter des affections pulmonaires interstitielles, comme la fibrose pulmonaire idiopathique, la pneumonie d'hypersensibilité ou la panbronchiolite diffuse. Les peptides pouvant être utilisés selon l'invention pour le traitement des affections citées contiennent au moins une séquence d'acides aminés spécifique hautement conservée qui semble jouer un rôle important dans la pathogenèse d'affections pulmonaires correspondantes. On a pu montrer que le peptide natif connu VIP (peptide intestinal vasoactif) et que le polypeptide PACAP (polypeptide activateur de l'adénylate cyclase hypophysaire), qui contiennent ces séquences, constituent des substances actives pour l'inhibition de la maturation de cellules dendritiques humaines et peuvent être utilisés avec succès pour traiter les affections susmentionnées.
