Vasopressin analogues of formula (I) wherein X is (S)-2-amino-2-methyl- butanoic acid (C.alpha.MeAbu) or Valine (Val), Y is Thienylalanine (THi) or Me- thionine (Met), Z is D-Phenylalanine (D-Phe) or D-Thienylalanine (Thi) or D- Tyrosine (D-Tyr), are disclosed. Phar- maceutical preparations comprising a vasopressin analogue of the invention as active ingredient are disclosed and a exemplified by oral preparations, nasal preparations, and intravenous preparations. The vasopressin ana- logues of the invention are intended for use as a medicament, specially an antidiuretic agent. The antidiuretic agent is preferably used for the treatment of diabetes insipidus or enuresis.

On décrit aussi des compositions pharmaceutiques qui comprennent un analogue de vasopressine de cette invention comme ingrédient actif et on en cite des exemples prenant la forme de préparations orales, nasales et intraveineuses. Ces analogues de vasopressine inventés sont destinés à être utilisés comme médicaments, et notamment comme agent antidiurétique utilisé de préférence pour le traitement du diabète insipide et de l'énurésie.
