It is intended to provide a novel biologically non-degradable peptide which is easily absorbed but hardly degraded in vivo when administered via, for example, the oral route and expected as effectively exerting functions such as a hypotensive effectin vivo; an ACE inhibitor using the peptide; and a drug or a functional food expected as effectively exerting a hypotensive effect in vivo. The biologically non-degradable peptide as described above is a dipeptide or a tripeptide having Pro at its carboxy end selected from the group consisting of Ile Pro, Glu Pro, Arg Pro, Gln Pro, Met Pro and Ser Pro Pro.
L'invention concerne un nouveau peptide biologiquement non biodégradable facilement absorbé mais difficilement dégradé in vivolorsqu'on l'administre, par exemple, par voie orale, prévu pour exercer efficacement des fonctions telles qu'un effet hypotensif in vivo. L'invention concerne également un inhibiteur de ACE ainsi qu'un médicament ou un aliment fonctionnel prévu pour exercer efficacement un effet hypotensif in vivo. Ledit peptide biologiquement non biodégradable précité est un dipeptide ou un tripeptide comprenant Pro au niveau de sa terminaison carboxy sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par Ile, Pro, Glu Pro, Arg Pro, Gln Pro, Met Pro et Ser Pro Pro.
