The invention relates to a method for assessing the effect of integrin inhibitors and small molecule ATP site direct-ed multi kinase inhibitors on angiogenesis by the use of certain identified biomarkers. This method is notably beneficial for the determination of the efficacy of integrin inhibitors and small molecule ATP site directed multi-kinase inhibitors mainly used for the treatment of angiogenesis associated diseases such as cancer. Especially, the invention relates to biomarkers linked to angio-genesis that are preferably accessible in body fluids and therefore allow analysis of target modulation in a non-invasive way. The use of said biomarkers for the screening of compounds with integrin-inhibitory activity is also disclosed.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour l'évaluation de l'effet d'inhibiteurs de l'intégrine et d'inhibiteurs de multiples kinases dirigés sur des sites d'ATP de type petites molécules sur l'angiogenèse grâce à l'utilisation de certains biomarqueurs identifiés. Ce procédé est notamment avantageux pour la détermination de l'efficacité d'inhibiteurs de l'intégrine et d'inhibiteurs de multiples kinases dirigés sur des sites d'ATP de type petites molécules principalement utilisés pour le traitement de maladies associées à une angiogenèse telles qu'un cancer. En particulier, l'invention concerne des biomarqueurs liés à l'angiogenèse qui sont de préférence accessibles dans des liquides corporels et qui par conséquent permettent l'analyse de la modulation d'une cible d'une manière non invasive. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation desdits biomarqueurs pour la recherche par criblage de composés ayant une activité d'inhibition de l'intégrine.
