The present invention provides protein-based biomarkers and biomarker combinations that are useful in qualifying ovarian cancer status in a patient. In particular, the biomarkers of this invention are useful to classify a subject sample as ovarian cancer, ovarian cancer of low malignant potential, benign ovarian disease or other malignant condition. The biomarkers can be detected by SELDI mass spectrometry.
Le présente invention concerne des biomarqueurs et des combinaisons de biomarqueurs, à base de protéines, utiles pour évaluer l~état du cancer des ovaires chez une patiente. Plus particulièrement, les biomarqueurs selon l~invention sont utiles pour classer un échantillon du sujet en tant que cancer des ovaires, cancer des ovaires à faible risque de malignité, maladie ovarienne bénigne ou autre pathologie maligne. Les biomarqueurs peuvent être détectés par le biais d~une spectrométrie de masse SELDI.
