ABSTRACT A building material and system is described in which a biomass concrete or mortar is formed of shredded waste, clay, sand, and cement, so that a load-bearing biomass matrix hardens that is capable of distributing load three- dimensionally while retaining good flexibility and insulating qualities. In an example such biomass mortar is poured around rounded pellets to form a wall, which is later faced with parging externally and masonry internally, to make a thermal resistant, air-flow-controlled compressive structure, preferentially with a continuous vaulted poured roof, that is an advance on previous biomass wall systems. Savings in the amount of cement used can be as high as 90%, and a use is provided for all types of consumer, commercial, agricultural, and construction waste, even without sorting, since small amounts of metals and hazardous substances can be accommodated by the shredding, oxygenation, and curing of the biomass mortar, and further by the air-flow control of the internal facing, where such is used.
