The invention relates to a biomedical molding which is obtainable by crosslinking in a mold an aqueous solution of a crosslinkable polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) prepolymer comprising at least 0.5 weight-%, based on the entire formulation, of a non-reactive PVA, wherein the number-average molecular weight of the non-reactive PVA is higher than that of the crosslinkable PVA. According to the invention moldings such as contact lenses are provided having an improved wearing comfort.

La présente invention a trait à un objet moulé biomédical susceptible d'être obtenu par la réticulation dans un moule d'une solution d'un prépolymère d'alcool polyvinylique réticulable comprenant au moins 0,5% en poids, par rapport à la formulation totale, d'un alcool polyvinylique non réactif, dans lequel la masse moléculaire moyenne en nombre de l'alcool polyvinylique non réactif est supérieure à celle de l'alcool polyvinylique réticulable. Selon l'invention, des objets moulés tels que des verres de contact sont obtenus présentant un port de confort amélioré.
