The present invention provides a macromolecular switch (51) suitable for use in a data acquisition and/or processing device. The switch comprises a macromolecular structure (10) having an ion binding site (14), and is flippable between a plurality of discretely different conformations corresponding to different ion binding conditions at the ion binding site (14). The macromolecular structure (10) is provided with at least one electrochemical input device (43) for applying such different ion binding conditions to the ion binding site (14) in response to corresponding external input signals. The invention also provides a method for data acquisition and/or processing, using a macromolecular structure switch of the invention.
L'invention concerne un commutateur macromoléculaire (51) apte à être utilisé dans un dispositif d'acquisition de données et/ou de traitement de données. Ledit commutateur comprend une structure macromoléculaire (10) présentant un site de liaison d'ions (14) et peut être basculé entre une pluralité de conformations discrètement différentes qui correspondent à différentes conditions de liaison d'ions au niveau du site de liaison d'ions (14). La structure macromoléculaire (10) comporte au moins une unité d'entrée électrochimique (43) pour appliquer de telles différentes conditions de liaison d'ions au site de liaison d'ions (14), en réponse aux signaux d'entrée extérieurs correspondants. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé d'acquisition de données et/ou de traitement de données, qui fait appel à un commutateur à structure macromoléculaire selon l'invention.
