The present invention relates to a biopolymer based barrier coating composition wherein said biopolymer based barrier coating composition comprises a plasticizer, a nano-sized clay and a biopolymer comprising a native starch and/or a de-graded starch and/or a chemically modified starch. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the biopolymer based barrier coating composition as well as to a method for coating a cellulose based substrate with the biopolymer based barrier coating composition. Finally, the present invention relates to a cellulose based substrate coated with said biopolymer based barrier coating composition.
La présente invention porte sur une composition de revêtement barrière à base de biopolymère, ladite composition de revêtement barrière à base de biopolymère comprenant un plastifiant, une argile de taille nanométrique et un biopolymère comprenant un amidon naturel et/ou un amidon dégradé et/ou un amidon chimiquement modifié. La présente invention porte également sur un procédé pour la préparation de la composition de revêtement barrière à base de biopolymère ainsi que sur un procédé pour le revêtement d'un substrat à base de cellulose avec la composition de revêtement barrière à base de biopolymère. Enfin, la présente invention porte sur un substrat à base de cellulose revêtu de ladite composition de revêtement barrière à base de biopolymère.
