The invention relates to a bioreactor unit for the aerobic biological treatment of hydrocarbon contaminated waste water and off gases. The bioreactor comprises a biotreatment chamber (20) comprising a vertically extending housing unit (22) forming the walls, floor and ceiling of the biotreatment chamber. The housing unit also comprises a door for accessing the biotreatment chamber. The biotreatment chamber also comprises waste water inlet means (35, 36) for discharging waste water under pressure from the upper portion of the biotreatment chamber onto a plurality of superimposed water treatment trays (60, 62, 64) disposed substantially horizontally inside the chamber, the water treatment trays being adapted for retrieval from the biotreatment chamber through the door of die housing unit. Each water treatment tray has at least one bottom porous section (66) adapted to receive contact media (68). The biotreatment chamber also comprises a water outlet (57) substantially at the bottom of the biotreatment chamber for discharging treated waste water, air flow means (240) to create an aerobic environment in the biotreatment chamber, air flow means being adapted to provide an air flow through the water treatment hays and air outlet means (230) for removing air introduced in the biotreatment chamber through the sir flow means.
Bioréacteur pour le traitement biologique aérobie des eaux usées et des effluents gazeux contaminées par des hydrocarbures, comprenant une chambre de traitement biologique (20) consistant en un compartiment vertical (22) muni d'une porte d'accès et dont les parois, le plancher et le plafond délimitent ladite chambre. La chambre (20) est munie de moyens d'introduction des eaux usées (35, 36) déversées sous pression depuis sa partie supérieure sur une série de plateaux (60, 62, 64) de traitement des eaux disposés sensiblement à l'horizontale à l'intérieur de la chambre et conçus pour recueillir les eaux introduites. Chacun desdits plateaux présente au moins une partie basse poreuse (66) destinée à recevoir des substances de contact (68). La chambre de traitement comporte également un orifice d'évacuation des eaux (57) disposé sensiblement à sa base, des moyens d'aération (240) y créant un environnement en faisant circuler un courant d'air à travers les plateaux, et un orifice d'évacuation de l'air (230) introduit dans le réacteur par les moyens d'aération.
