La présente invention concerne des solutions témoins, c'est-à-dire des solutions de concentration connue destinées à être utilisées comme agent de régulation, agent d'étalonnage, ou normes, dans le cadre de tests de transferrine à déficience glucidique (<i>carbohydrate-deficient transferrin</i> / CDT) réalisés sur des fluides corporels. Lesdites solutions témoins sont obtenues à partir d'unités de fluides corporels provenant d'individus de santé normale, par digestion de la transferrine dans ces unités avec de la neuraminidase exogène pour obtenir des solutions de CDT concentrées qui sont alors ajoutées en des proportions présélectionnées à une matrice de base pour donner des concentrations cibles.
