An implantable, rechargeable assembly comprised of an implantable device (10) disposed within a living organism, an electrical storage device (20) connected to the implantable device, and a thermoelectric charging assembly (41, 45, 30) operatively connected to the electrical storage device. The thermoelectric charging assembly has devices for transferring thermal energy between the living organism and a thermoelectric module, for generating an electrical current from the thermal energy, for charging the electrical storage device with the electrical current, for determining the extent to which the electrical storage device is being charged with the electrical current, and for generating a signal whenever the extent to which the electrical storage device is being charged with the electrical current falls below a specified value.

Un ensemble rechargeable et implantable est constitué d'un dispositif implantable (10) placé à l'intérieur d'un organisme vivant, d'un dispositif de stockage électrique (20) connecté à ce dispositif implantable et, d'un ensemble de charge thermoélectrique (41, 45, 30) connecté de manière opérationnelle à ce dispositif de stockage électrique. Cet ensemble de charge thermoélectrique possède des dispositifs permettant de transférer l'énergie thermique entre l'organisme vivant et un module thermoélectrique, de générer un courant électrique à partir de cette énergie thermique, de charger le dispositif de stockage électrique avec ce courant électrique, de déterminer la mesure dans laquelle ce dispositif de stockage électrique doit être chargé avec ce courant électrique et, de générer un signal chaque fois que la mesure dans laquelle se dispositif de stockage électrique doit être chargé avec ce courant électrique qui tombe en dessous d'une valeur spécifiée.
