BIPARTITE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HOUSING ABSTRACT: One of housing parts has ramps, which are engaged by projections on latch arms on the other housing part to secure the housing parts in mating relationship and thereby providing a force which assists the mating of the housing parts. In order to allow the arms to be released from the ramps by displacing only one of the arms, the arms are ganged through a torsion spring so that by depressing one arm towards the mated housing parts, or by pulling the other arm away from the mated housing parts, both of the arms can be released from engagement with their associated ramps simultaneously.
