ABSTRACT Bis(cyclohexylphenol) compounds of the formula Image wherein R is an alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, Y is -S-, -SO- or -SO2- with the proviso that when R is methyl in the ortho position to the hydroxy, Y is -SO- or -SO2 - and thier use. The above-mentioned compounds are useful as antioxidants and biocides for industrial use.
