O.Z. 0050/41406 Abstract of the Disclosure: Bisglycosides I Gly-O-CHR2-(CH2)p-(XR1)n-(CH2)q-(CHR3)m-O-Gly I where X is C-R4 or N, R1 is C1-C30-alkyl, C2-C30-alkenyl, O-C1-C30 alkyl or O-C2- C30-alkenyl when X is C-R4, and is CO-C1-C30-alkyl or CO- C2-C30-alkenyl when X is N, R2 to R4 are each hydrogen, C1-C30-alkyl or C2-C30-alkenyl, n is from 1 to 3, m is 0 or 1, p and q are each from 0 to 2 and Gly is a mono- or disaccharide composed of aldopentoses, aldohexoses and/or ketohexoses, are used as surfactants or emulsifiers in detergents, cleaning agents and toiletries.
