The invention concerns a bistable nematic liquid crystal display device comprising: aligning means, which ensure the orientation of the liquid crystal, means designed for applying electric signals enabling to switch by anchor rupture on at least two substrates, between two separate textures and means for promoting, in the liquid crystal covering the inter-electrode spaces, the installation of that among said textures providing off-state.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage bistable à cristal liquide , nématique comprenant : des moyens d'alignement, qui orientent le cristal liquide, des moyens conçus pour appliquer, des signaux électriques qui permettent de commuter par cassure de L' ancrage sur au moins un des deux substrats, entre deux textures distinctes et des moyens conçus pour favoriser, dans le cristal liquide recouvrant les espaces inter-electrodes, l'installation de celle des dites textures donnant l'état non passant.
