ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electric black heat furnace has a housing with oppositely disposed perforated walls which serve respectively as a cold air inlet wall and a hot air outlet wall. The housing encloses an electric heating element which is located adjacent to the air inlet wall and an electric fan assembly is adapted for mounting on the air inlet wall. A control panel is mounted on the housing and a thermostat is also mounted on the housing in operable proximity to the cold air intake wall. The control panel includes switches for connecting and disconnecting the power supply to the heating element according to the setting of the thermostat connected in a gate driving circuit of switches.
