Described is a pigment dispersion which is useful for electrophoretic displays comprising .alpha.) a bis-oxodihydro-indolylene-benzodifuranone colourant of the Formula (I) wherein the substituents are defined as in claim 1, .beta.) a specific polymeric dispersant, and .gamma.) a solvent which is suitable for dispersions used in electrophoretic displays. Also described are novel colourants and dispersants.
