An intraurethral female bladder control apparatus and method for nonsurgically inserting the apparatus distally into a patient. A preferred apparatus has a rigid plastic inner housing (22) with a soft, flexible retainer (30) attached distally and a flow control unit (32) mounted within the inner housing lumen. A rigid, plastic outer housing (24) having a softer proximal retainer (36) and a distal, upper tip (38), surrounds the inner housing and has the distal retainer within prior to insertion. In use, the upper tip is inserted through the urethra into the bladder and the inner housing advanced to deploy the distal retainer within the bladder floor.
L'invention concerne un appareil de contrôle de la vessie intra-urétral pour femme, ainsi qu'un procédé permettant d'insérer cet appareil dans une patiente sans recourir à la chirurgie. Un appareil préféré présente un boîtier interne en plastique rigide (22), pourvu d'un dispositif de fixation mou et souple (30) raccordé par son extrémité distale, et une unité de régulation de l'écoulement (32), montée dans la lumière intérieure de ce boîtier interne. Une enveloppe extérieure en plastique rigide (24), comprenant un dispositif de fixation mou proximal (36) et une extrémité supérieure distale (38), entoure ledit boîtier interne et contient le dispositif de fixation distal avant l'insertion de ce dernier. L'extrémité supérieure de ladite enveloppe est insérée à travers l'urètre pour atteindre la vessie, le boîtier interne progressant pour déployer le dispositif de fixation distal sur le plancher de la vessie.
