A blade holder in a chipping device which has blade carriers that rotate in ongoing operation and blades attached to the blade carriers and being clamped in place with a clamping force via centrifugal forces that occur during rotation of the blade carriers in ongoing operation. The blades are attached to the blade carriers on a side that lies radially inward.
