The blade setter has a station to which the teeth of a bandsaw advance in increments. At the station there are a number of tooth-setting members which reciprocate from an inoperative position in which the members are spaced apart from the teeth to an operative position in which each member engages a separate tooth with resulting adjustment of the rake thereof. The reciprocation of the tooth-setting members is coordinated with the advancing means of the teeth so that the members are in an inoperative position while the teeth advance and at the end of each advance, the members are in an operative position.
