The invention relates to Blakeslea trispora (B. trispora) strains producing at least 0.3 g/l lycopene, when co-cultivated for at least three days with a suitable strain of Blakeslea trispora of the opposite mating type in a suitable medium in the absence of an exogenous cartenogenesis inhibitor, to a natural efficient production process of lycopene by these strains, to a growth medium highly suited for this process and to an isolation process suited for any carotenoid compound.
Selon l'invention, des souches de Blakeslea trispora (B. trispora) servent à fabriquer du lycopène à au moins 0,3 g/l lorsqu'elles sont employées en co-culture sur au moins trois jours avec une souche adaptée de Blakeslea trispora du type conjugué opposé, dans un milieu adapté, en l'absence d'un inhibiteur de la caroténogenèse exogène. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication naturelle efficace de lycopène au moyen de ces souches, un milieu de croissance adapté audit procédé, et un procédé d'isolement adapté à tout type de composé caroténoïde.
