A blank separating equipment for a cutting machine processing flat elements such as sheets of paper or cardboard, these blanks being surrounded by two lengthwise lateral strips, by two crosswise frontal and back strips, and being separated by intermediate strips, the said equipment compris- ing: a lower tool in the shape of a tool rack including bars that have essentially the same border as the blanks, and an upper tool comprising pushers each fastened above a blank and having the same outline as the blank except slightly smaller, and pressing devices fitted on the tool above the bars by means of elastic supports in such a way as to rest each inter- mediate and sidewise strip against its bar in correspondence during the blank separating, wherein at least one part of the pressing devices located above the intermediate lengthwise strips and sidewise strips presents at least one exhaust port attached to a vacuum source, the number of the ports and their sections, as well as the value of the vacuum being such that the pressing devices lift at least the upstream part of a residual sheet at the raising of the upper tool during the removal of said sheet.
