ABSTRACT An activated peroxy compound bleaching composition comprising a peroxy bleaching compound and a mixture of activators for such compound, at least one of which is an acyl activator which reacts with the peroxy anion of the peroxy compound to form a peracid, and the other of which is a triazine compound from which a peroxy anion from the peroxy compound displaces chlorine to form a hydroperoxide of the triazine compound.
