BLEACH PLANT OPERATION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The first bleaching stage of a bleach plant sequence is effected using mixtures of chlorine dioxide and chlorine at elevated temperatures above 35°C up to 70°C. Bleaching at these temperatures may be carried out without pulp viscosity lass and permits fresh water use in a counter- current washing bleach plant to be decreased.
