The present invention discloses methods of bleaching chemical pulp that combine xylanase enzymes with hydrogen peroxide, peracids, or a mixture. The method comprises the steps of carrying out a chemical pulping operation, optionally followed by delignifying the pulp with oxygen, then combining xylanase enzymes with hydrogen peroxide, peracids, or a mixture to bleach the pulp. The method allows the mill to use both xylanase and peracids in a single bleaching tower to decrease the usage of chlorine dioxide and other bleaching chemicals. The pulp bleaching method of the present invention may be performed in a pulp mill as part of a complex pulp bleaching process.
L'invention concerne des procédés de blanchiment de pâte chimique comprenant l'utilisation combinée de xylanases et de peroxyde d'hydrogène, de peracides, ou d'un mélange de ceux-ci. Ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : on procède à une opération de réduction en pâte chimique, suivie éventuellement d'une délignification à l'oxygène de la pâte, puis on combine des enzymes de xylanase avec du peroxyde, des peracides ou un mélange de ceux-ci, afin de blanchir la pâte. Lorsqu'il est mis en oeuvre dans une usine de pâte, ce procédé permet l'utilisation conjointe de xylanase et de peracides dans une seule tour de blanchiment, ce qui permet de réduire le recours au dioxyde de chlore ou à d'autres produits chimiques de blanchiment. Ce procédé de blanchiment de pâte peut constituer une étape d'un processus de blanchiment complexe dans une usine de blanchiment.
