ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The female portion of a blind rivet has a passage whose first portion at the head of the rivet is of a diameter greater than that of the end of the passage remote from the head, the latter being adapted to receive a drawing mandrel of the blind rivet. The transition between the two portions of the passage is abrupt, by way of a shoulder. The blind rivet of the invention can be produced from any convenient material, particularly from steel, while maintaining the possibility of a wide gripping range.
