ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Compositions based on a block copolymer having at least two terminal polymer blocks of styrene and at least one intermediate polymer block of butadiene, which comprise polystyrene obtained by anionic poly- merization instead of polystyrene obtained by free radical polymerization, said compositions including a rubber extending oil, show an improved adhesion to substrates such as shoe uppers. Such compositions may be obtained by preparing the block copolymer and the polystyrene simultaneously.
