ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device to be permanently fitted in-line on an electrical cord to clearly indicate in a non-technical manner and without the need for hands- on involvement by the user the presence of an electrical current in that cord. With such a device it is known to have a method whereby the presence of an electrical current is indicated. In this invention the presence of an electrical current will be indicated by having the entire indicating device glow. There will be no other indicators. The device is intended to be attached to the electrical cord with a tool-free procedure. The device is intended for use on the observable portion of an automobile's block heater cord and will therefore be made of damage and weather resistant materials.
