ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention discloses a novel building block and methods of building a wall or similar structure utilizing these novel blocks. Each of the building blocks has at least one hori- zontal surface on each upper surface and at least one horizontal surface on each lower surface ground smooth so that when the blocks are stacked one upon each other, the at least one ground surface of the lower surface of the upper block is contiguous with the at least one ground surface of the upper surface of the lower block thereby providing a tight joint between the respective blocks. This allows for the construction of a rigid block assem- bly eliminating the need for adhesive material such as mortar between blocks and has allowed for a quick, simple method for con- structing a strong wall.
