Disclosed is a blood pump having a pump housing (10) in which an impeller (16) is arranged without housing. An external magnetic drive device (33) turns the impeller (16) via a magnetic coupling (32, 36). The lower side (30) of the wings (19) of the impeller is configured as a support surface (30) which slopes at the following end. A hydrodynamic supporting effect is thus obtained during rotation. Said effect raises the impeller (17) from the bottom surface of the pump housing (10). As the pump housing does not comprise bearings and seals, the thrombosis risk and the danger of penetration of foreign bodies into the blood by attrition is reduced.

L'invention concerne une pompe à sang présentant un carter (10) dans lequel un rotor (16) est logé sans palier. Ce rotor (16) est animé d'un mouvement de rotation par une unité d'entraînement magnétique externe (33) par l'intermédiaire d'un accouplement à aimant (32, 36). Le centrage radial du rotor s'effectue par l'intermédiaire de l'accouplement à aimant (32, 36). Le côté inférieur (30) des aubes (19) du rotor se présente sous la forme d'une surface portante (30) inclinée vers l'extrémité arrière. Lors de la rotation, on obtient ainsi un effet porteur qui soulève le rotor (17) de la surface de base (12) du carter de pompe (10). L'absence de paliers et d'éléments d'étanchéité au niveau du carter de pompe réduit les risques de thrombose et de pénétration, due à l'abrasion, de corps étrangers dans le sang.
