A multiple function pump station (PPN) performs different on-line processing tasks. The pump station can be oper-ated in one mode to draw blood from a donor and can in another mode be operated to return blood to the donor. The pump station used to draw blood from a donor can also be used to perform subsequent blood processing tasks, such as mixing processing or additive fluids with the blood, or transferring a harvested blood component to a storage container, or finishing the processing of a harvested blood component, e.g., by passage through a filter (200) to remove leukocytes.

La présente invention concerne une station de pompage à fonctions multiples destinée à réaliser différentes travaux en ligne. Dans un mode, cette station permet de réaliser le pompage du sang d'un donneur, et dans un autre mode elle permet de retourner du sang au donneur. La pompe utilisée pour prélever le sang peut aussi être utilisée afin de réaliser des traitements sanguins subséquents, tels que le mélange au sang de fluides de traitement ou d'additif, ou peut servir à transférer un composant sanguin récolté dans un contenant de stockage, ou bien permettre de terminer le traitement d'un composant sanguin récolté, par exemple, par passage à travers un filtre (200) afin d'enlever des leucocytes.
