ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel blood vessel prosthesis is provided herein. It includes a tubular member of an at least partially non-resorbable material having no adverse tissue reaction. At least an inner wall member of a resorbable material with no adverse tissue reaction is supported by the tubular mem- ber and forms a substantially concentric inner wall structure thereto. Such inner wall structure is sufficiently porous to permit the passage of blood cells, e.g. erythrocytes and thrombocytes through the free unner surface and into at least a substantial part of the thickness thereof, thereby providing a support inside said tubular support member for the formation of a layer of thrombotic material whereby an endothelium coated muscle layer is formed on said tubular support member.
