A blow molded plastic cap is provided, having multi-start external threads, the bottom rim of its body being engagable with multiple internal threads of a blow molded plastic container to effect a seal therewith. The interlocking of the threads compresses together the cap and the container forming a seal therewith provided by the side wall and the top wall of the cap in combination with the side wall and the top flange of the container.

Il possède un filetage extérieur à plusieurs filets; le pourtour inférieur de son corps peut s'engager dans plusieurs filets d'un contenant de plastique moulé par soufflage pour constituer un joint étanche avec ces derniers. L'interverrouillage des filets a pour effet de presser le bouchon et le contenant l'un contre l'autre pour former un joint étanche constitué par la paroi latérale et la paroi supérieure du bouchon combinées à la paroi latérale et à la bride supérieure du contenant.
