Abstract: The invention relates to a board game intended to simulate the game of golf. The game comprises a board depicting a golf course, or a part thereof, having at least one area showing a tee, a fairway and a green. The game includes a transparent or semi-transparent template which can be placed over the said areas of the board. The template has a line indicating an intended direction of play, a starting point and a pattern of small holes surrounding the line. Some form of random selection means is provided capable of randomly indicating one of the holes of the pattern. The game is played by marking points on the board through the randomly indicated holes in the template to represent progress of the "ball" from the tee to the green.
