BOAT CONSTRUCTION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A boat is constructed with the hull divided transversely into at least two sections. Each section is separately floatable and is provided with an end panel similar to a transom. A pair of transversely-spaced spigots are provided on one of the transom panels to project out- wardly substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the boat. A pair of sockets on the other end panel are constructed and arranged to matingly receive the pair of spigots. Clamping means are provided on the hull sections to prevent the pair of spigots from withdrawing from the pair of sockets as must take place in order for the sections to move longitudinally and separate.
