A Vee bottom planing boat hull (32) has right and left steps (44 and 46) positioned so as to optimize the boat's trim angle at top speed, and defining right and left notches (48 and 50) in which are pivotally mounted left and right tirm tabs (56 and 58) having forward leading edges (60 and 62) along oblique pivot axes (64 and 66) causing outer comers (102 and 104) of trailing edges (68 and 70) of the trim tabs to move downwardly more than inner comers (106 and 108) during downward pivoting of the trim tabs, providing an active hull to control boat trim angle and effectively reduce deadrise angle while maintaining a running surface trailing edge substantially free of discontinuities in the vertical direction.

La présente invention concerne un coque de bateau à déjaugeage (32), en forme de V, comportant des redans gauche et droit (44 et 46) positionnés de manière à optimiser l'angle d'assiette à la vitesse maximale, définissant des évidements droit et gauche (48 et 50) dans lesquels sont montés des compensateurs d'assiette gauche et droit (56 et 58). Ces compensateurs présentent des bords d'attaque avant (60 et 62) pivotant le long d'axes de pivot oblique (64 et 66) permettant ainsi, lors du pivotement vers le bas des compensateurs d'assiette, un déplacement vers le bas des coins extérieurs (102 et 104) des bords d'attaque (68 et 70) plus important que celui des coins intérieurs (106 et 108). On obtient ainsi une coque active permettant de commander l'angle d'assiette et de réduire efficacement l'angle de relevé de varangues tout en maintenant sensiblement l'absence de discontinuités, dans la direction verticale, à la surface portante de bord de fuite.
