ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a boat and the structural part thereof. The object of the invention is to make available in the boat (interior) accommodation spaces in greater abundance than is normal, without having to increase the outer dimensions of boats. The structural part of the boat is provided with a cabin and open accommodation space like the sitting well, or cock-pit in sailboats. The structural part comprises a roof part at one end thereof and at its other end a part which is adapted to be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the boat in order to change the ratio between roofed-over space and open space. When the structural part is moved into either of its end positions it seals against the fixed part of the boat.
