Abstract of the disclosure A body construction for a drilling machine com- prising a body (6) provided with end covers (7, 8), a percussion means (2) mounted in the body, and a rotation means (3) positioned on an axial extension of the per- cussion means for rotating a shank (5). In order to avoid the use of conventional tie rods, the body (6) is formed by an integral body part, and housings (9, 11) for the percussion and the rotation means (2, 3) are formed in the body part in such a way that the percussion and the rotation means can be replaced through the corresponding end covers without having to detach from the body anything else but the end covers of the body part.
