An apparatus and method are provided for drying a tanning substance on a human body. The apparatus comprises a chamber and at least one drying device for the chamber. The chamber receives therein a user on which a tanning substance has been applied. The drying devices act on the user to create a drying medium so as to dry this tanning substance.
