A method of making an article of manufacture comprising aplying an anti-weld spatter lubricant composition to a first weldable metal substrate to produce a coated metal substrate; forming the coated metal substrate into a coated formed part; and welding together the coated formed part and a second weldable substrate to form a welded construction, characterized in that no anti-weld spatter compositions are applied between the forming and welding steps and an article of manufacture comprising a welded construction having at least one formed metal surface and a layer of anti-weld spatter lubricant composition on and in direct contact with said formed metal surface, in the absence of a forming lubricant layer interposed between said formed metal surface and the layer of anti-weld spatter lubricant composition.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un article de fabrication comprenant l'application d'une composition de lubrifiant anti-projection de soudure sur un premier substrat métallique soudable pour produire un substrat métallique enrobé ; la formation du substrat métallique enrobé en une pièce formée enrobée ; et le soudage de la pièce formée enrobée et d'un second substrat soudable pour former une construction soudée, caractérisé en ce qu'aucune composition anti-projection de soudure n'est appliquée entre les étapes de formation et de soudage et un article de fabrication comprenant une construction soudée présentant au moins une surface métallique formée et une couche de composition de lubrifiant anti-projection de soudure sur et en contact direct avec ladite surface métallique formée, en l'absence d'une couche de lubrifiant en formation interposée entre ladite surface métallique formée et la couche de composition de lubrifiant anti-projection de soudure.
