ABSTRACT A body warmer for heating a human body by means of exothermic heat which consists of a particulate exo- thermic substance containing as a main constituent a metal- lic oxide and activated by externally supplied air and water for heating the body, a fibrous agricultural solid waste impregnated with sodium chloride, and an air permeable bag for filling the exothermic substance and the fibrous agri- cultural solid waste. The fibrous solid waste moderates the exothermic reaction so that the body warmer can provide heat at a safe and effective temperature continuously for an extended time so as to relieve even neuralgia.
