The invention relates to a boiler and to a method for operating a boiler. To effectively prevent damage to the boiler wall, in particular by corrosion, the flow speed characteristic of a furnace floor flow running horizontally to the furnace floor is determined, a source region of the horizontal furnace wall flow on at least one furnace wall is determined and an insulating gas is supplied to the source region of the horizontal furnace wall flow, in such a way that an insulating gas layer, which insulates the respective boiler wall from the flue gas, is created by the horizontal extension of the insulating gas with the aid of the furnace wall flow.

L'invention concerne une chaudière et son mode de fonctionnement. Pour empêcher activement tout endommagement de l'enveloppe de chaudière notamment par la corrosion, on détermine la caractéristique vitesse d'écoulement d'un écoulement de base horizontal de la chambre de chauffe par rapport au plancher de cette chambre de chauffe; on détermine une zone source de l'écoulement horizontal sur au moins une paroi de la chambre de chauffe sur au moins une paroi de chambre de chauffe et on introduit un gaz isolant dans la zone source de l'écoulement sur la paroi de la chambre de chauffe de telle façon que, par la propagation horizontale du gaz isolant à l'aide de l'écoulement sur la paroi de la chambre de chauffe, il se forme une couche de gaz isolant qui isole la paroi de chaudière respective du flux de gaz de combustion.
