A bolster (10) for use in construction including a plurality of leg members (12, 14, 16) arranged in parallel relationship and a beam (18) integrally formed with the plurality of leg members and extending across the plurality of leg members. Each of the plurality of leg members has a foot (42) for contacting an underlying surface. Each of the leg members includes a central body portion (36), a first leg (38) extending downwardly from one side of the central body portion. The foot is formed at an end of each of the first and second (40) legs opposite the central body portion. The foot includes a plurality of pin-like projections (50, 52) extending outwardly from a bottom surface thereof. The beam has a waveform pattern formed across a top surface (28) of the beam and a rectangular cross-section in a plane parallel to the plurality of leg members. The beam includes a male connector (32) formed at one end and a female connector (34) formed at an opposite end for receipt within a connector of an adjacent bolster.
Sous-poutre (10) destinée à la construction comportant une pluralité de piliers (12, 14, 16) disposés de façon parallèle et une poutre (18) solidaire par construction de la pluralité de piliers et s'étendant en travers de la pluralité de piliers. Chacun des piliers comporte un appui (42) permettant le contact avec une surface sous-jacente. Chacun des piliers comporte une partie de corps centrale (36), un premier membre (38) s'étendant vers le bas depuis un côté du corps central. L'appui est formé à une extrémité de chacun des premier et deuxième (40) piliers à l'opposé du corps central. L'appui comporte une pluralité de saillies en pointe (50, 52) s'étendant vers l'extérieur à partir d'une surface de fond. La poutre possède un motif ondulé formé sur une surface supérieure (28) de la poutre et une section transversale rectangulaire sur un plan parallèle à la pluralité des piliers. La poutre comporte un raccord mâle (32) formé à une extrémité et un raccord femelle (34) formé à l'extrémité opposée et destiné à recevoir un raccord d'une sous-poutre adjacente.
