ABSTRACT A novel bolt and locking mechanism which is receivable on a shoulder near the end of the bolt and wherein the locking mechanism comprises a shoulder cap and a nipple cap between which is mounted a spring member which is formed with grooves and through which the head of the bolt can be extended so as to deflect the spring as the spring locks in the groove of the bolt.
