ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to permanent bonded magnets of very finely crystalline, melt-spun, rare earth-iron alloys. The compacts are magnetically isotropic. These magnets have intrinsic coercivities and energy products on the same order as samarium-cobalt magnets but are much less costly. The bonded magnet compacts are magnetically isotropic. They may be readily magnetized in any preferred direction in a suitable magnetic field.
