A biocompatible synthetic bone growth composition comprising a fibrillar collagen component and a calcium phosphate component. The composition is formed into particles, and then formed into a unitary article that may be provided at the site of a skeletal defect. An osteoinductive component may be further added, either before or after forming the unitary article. The composition may be formulated as a paste or putty and facilitates bone growth and/or repair.
La présente invention concerne une composition de croissance osseuse synthétique biocompatible, comprenant un composant de collagène fibrillaire et un composant de phosphate de calcium. Ladite composition est réalisée sous forme de particules, puis sous forme d'un article unitaire qui peut être appliqué sur le site d'une anomalie du squelette. Un composant ostéoinductif peut en outre être ajouté, soit avant soit après la formation de l'article unitaire. Ladite composition peut être formulée sous forme d'une pâte ou d'un mastic, et facilite la croissance et/ou la réparation de la croissance osseuse.
