A bone growth stimulator (10) is provided. In one embodiment, the device has an elliptically shaped transducer coil (14) . The coil provides increased therapeutic benefit to a wearer. An elliptically shaped housing (12) support and contains the coil . The housing includes a curvature when viewed in profile, such that a first surface of the housing is convex. The convex surface is adapted to be positioned against a wearer' s lower back (16) , to nest within the natural curvature thereof .

La présente invention concerne un appareil (10) stimulant la croissance osseuse. Dans un mode de réalisation, l~appareil comporte un transducteur à bobine de forme elliptique (14). La bobine propose des bénéfices thérapeutiques augmentés au patient auquel elle est appliquée. Un boîtier de forme elliptique (12) supporte et contient la bobine.
